Hello!

I am an author and a diplomat, currently serving as Director, The Tagore Centre (Embassy of India, Berlin). In the past, I have worked as a business consultant, fashion designer, trend forecaster, and lecturer.

I wrote my debut novel whilst on Faber Academy’s novel writing course. The idea for Your Truth or Mine?, a psychological thriller about a dysfunctional marriage and a missing woman, grew out of a single image: a happily married woman discovering that her ‘perfect’ husband has been having an affair. I wanted to write about the shock of infidelity in a marriage in which one partner’s version of the truth completely contradicts the others and the subtle, and often crippling, forms of emotional and psychological control that often go unnoticed, all of which is brought into sharp focus as the protagonists find themselves enmeshed in an investigation.

For my second novel, Can You See Me Now?, I drew upon the true story of a famous scandal that erupted at my own high school in Delhi and quickly changed India. It’s a psychological thriller about an intoxicating female friendship, power and privilege, set against the backdrop of Indian politics.

My third novel, Last Resort, a psychological thriller about a family holiday that ends in murder, will be published in early 2025 by Penguin Random House.

I grew up in New Delhi and now live in Europe. You can find me on Instagram.
